Delta Sand Bricks Co was bought by Plena-Group through a privatisation during 1997. Delta Sand brick is a company that produces and promotes Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) products, services and design and engineering for factories in Egypt with and neighbouring countries.

Plena has since its acquisition developed the factories, human resources and management practices and procedures to ensure that the operation supplies its client with superior products and with a variety of services to ensure that its customers both use the products in a correct manner and also achieve the benefits from the exceptional features the product possess.

AAC is one of the fastest growing heavy building material products in the world due to its superior
characteristics. It is calculated that the use of AAC would reduce the need for large and expensive power generating infrastructure work in urban areas aimed at cooling buildings and thereby save on both environment as well as infrastructure cost.
